Blanco Fence Installation: The Houston Owner’s Guide
Blanco fence installation in Houston typically runs $3,500 to $9,000 for a full perimeter install, with most mid-size lots landing between $4,500 and $6,500. We stock Blanco-compatible posts, rails, pickets, and gate hardware on our trucks, and we can usually start within a few days of your written estimate. Most homeowners discover they need this service when a Houston storm takes out a section of fence, or when they notice the gate dragging against the ground and the posts starting to lean. Either way, the fix starts with matching the replacement parts to the exact Blanco product line you already have.
Which Blanco Models This Applies To
Blanco builds fence systems in two primary lines: the Classic series, which uses a standard 2-3/8″ post with pre-routed rails, and the Pro series, which steps up to a heavier-gauge post and deeper rail channels for high-wind zones. You’ll find the model stamped on the inside face of a post cap, or on a sticker along the top rail near a corner. If the sticker is gone, measure the post diameter and the rail channel depth. Classic rails seat about 1-1/4″ deep; Pro rails seat closer to 1-3/4″. That half-inch matters. Mixing Classic rails with Pro posts leaves a loose fit that rattles in the first good north wind. On the OEM-versus-aftermarket question: Blanco’s OEM rails carry a powder-coat that holds up to Houston’s UV better than most aftermarket options, so we recommend OEM rails for any section that faces direct afternoon sun. For interior pickets, a quality aftermarket slat at half the cost performs fine. We’ll show you both prices on the written estimate and let you decide.

Signs Your Blanco Fence Installation Is Failing
- Gate dragging or sticking. The hinge post has shifted. In Houston’s clay soil, posts heave and settle with every wet-dry cycle. A gate that catches means the post has moved off plumb and the hinge alignment is gone.
- Rails pulling loose from the post. Wind load works the rail brackets until the screws wallow out. Once a rail separates, the whole section loses rigidity and the pickets start to lean.
- Pickets warping or splitting. Houston’s humidity cycle, wet spring to baked August, will expose any picket that wasn’t properly sealed. Split pickets near the bottom rail mean water is wicking up through the end grain.
- Rust streaking under post caps. Cheap post caps trap water. Blanco’s OEM caps have a drain channel. If you’re seeing rust lines, someone substituted a flat cap at some point, and the post is filling with water.
- Fence leaning as a unit. This is almost never a panel problem. It means the posts were set too shallow for Houston’s frost line and soil movement. Section-level leaning means the post foundation is failing, not the Blanco components.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
Blanco fence installation in Houston lands between $3,500 and $9,000 depending on linear footage, post condition, and whether we’re replacing sections or running an entirely new perimeter. A straight section replacement with good posts runs $35 to $55 per linear foot. Full tear-out and re-set, including new post holes and concrete, pushes the price toward the top of that range. Every Blanco fence job we quote includes the parts, labor, post concrete, gate hardware, and debris removal. The written price you get before work starts is the price you pay. If a post shifts or a rail pulls loose within the first year, the 365-Day Done Right Promise means we come back and correct it at no charge. That’s in writing, signed, before the crew starts day one.
DIY or Call Us?
You can check posts for plumb with a level, inspect rail brackets for wallowed-out screw holes, and feel for rot at the base of each post. Those are things you can do in an afternoon. What you shouldn’t do is pull and re-set a post without knowing what’s underground. Houston has utility lines, irrigation runs, and in some older neighborhoods, gas services that run shallow. Hitting one with a post-hole digger is a bad afternoon that can turn into a five-figure repair. Gate spring and post tension work carries the same caution. Fence gates under tension can move fast and hard when a cable or spring bracket lets go. If a gate is fighting you, walk away from it and call us at (940) 289-7658. Straight scope, straight number, that’s the whole conversation.

A properly installed Blanco fence with OEM rails and sealed pickets lasts 15 to 20 years in Houston’s climate. Posts set in concrete at the right depth are the difference. Call (940) 289-7658 and we’ll tell you within ten minutes of looking whether your posts are the problem.
